All the Single Ladies!

It’s August and I have yet to figure out why every year for the last few years around April to September why God always puts on my heart marriage. I have hints but I think I just started to accept it this year that He is preparing me for the position called Wife. Before I can get there I must go through training, training that the world does not offer. I didn’t come to go deep into the training but God gave me a word to share and that I should blog it. So the next two or three paragraphs will be what he gave to me to share with the dear ladies following me, Kingdom women!

“Marriages are my idea, them to stop putting time limits on my timing, my purpose, my plan. You say you have to have this and do that, but what I want is for you to listen and obey, heed to my word and my will. That is how you prepare for a mate, the world will have you missing out, I laugh at the plans of man; my way is perfect, my timing is perfect, my peace is perfect. stop fretting and being so busy Martha, you can’t hear what I am saying. You see why some of your plans have not become as they should because you need a covering, someone to envision with a husband, you cannot be with me alone, I never designed you for that. Two is better than one, stop whining over cold sheets, what your family is saying, your friends are saying. Because who I bring into your life, most of them will think you don’t deserve him, you don’t worry about their words but you hear and follow my instructions.

My beloved daughters, my Queens, more precious than rubies, who laugh at tomorrow, who have no fear, but fears the Lord, and she shall be praised.”

Look God got you better than you got yourself, continue in His paths and before you know it the man that is your husband will be before you! God bless!

I am absolutely excited about all the things she has planned and I am glad to have been asked to be on board! She is so encouraging. If you check out her blog, Instagram, Twitter, you will certainly fall in love with Jesus because of her presentation of Him. Check out thepursuemeblog.com

Last but surely not least is Victoria! I don’t follow everyone on Instagram that follows me because I like my timeline to be as clean as possible. I remember Victoria started following me and like I always do I do a quick trip down someone’s post to see what they are posting. So I saw this beautiful young lady, with a message to remember ‘I’m Somebody’s Good Thing.’ I listen, I watch, and I learn. She may be younger than me but I have no problem being a student.

Victoria Armstead is the visionary and founder of a movement called, “I’m Somebody’s Good Thing”.  For quite some time, she had been praying and asking God to give her a tool to reach women. God answered that prayer! Through a conversation, with her sister Dionna Jackson, He gave her the “I’m Somebody’s Good Thing” movement.

This movement strives to teach and assure ladies of their value, worth, beauty, and treasure by causing them understand that validation and self-esteem are not given by man, but by God. The basis and premises of this movement is Proverbs 18:22 where it says, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” The reason this scripture was chosen is because while reading I got a revelation. Many people know this scripture and quote it religiously, but she wanted to introduce us to a deeper meaning.  She wants people to notice that it says that ‘the man finds a good thing, and not that she becomes a good thing after she is sought out by a man.’ Women are indeed that treasure of endless value before the pursuit even begins and that’s why the scripture goes on to say that the man is granted God’s favor. She believes it’s about time that our women realize this about themselves and God has given her a charge to help her sisters.

She uses tools like social media and apparel to spread this message. ‘I’m Somebody’s Good Thing’ also likes to go and speak to women face to face whether it be one-on-one, at a workshop, or conference. So far this movement has been able to inspire so many ladies and we want MORE! She has chosen to take a stand to say, “I’m Somebody’s Good Thing” and it is her heart’s desire that ladies all over the world will join her. She earnestly wants to bring glory to God by promoting wholeness through Him!

She also recently released her single “Good Thing”, which is the theme song for the ISGT Movement! It is available on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play!

You know what all these ladies are beautiful women of God and I AM SO excited to get to know them, even if they are miles away. They really have touched my life in ways that maybe they don’t know!

That’s why I couldn’t go without recognizing them because if they are influencing me and pushing me to be my best for the Lord in such a gentle and loving manner, I want them to do the same for you!

So don’t just check out this blog, check out theirs and it will change your life!

Unequally yoked?

Just because you meet them at church, doesn’t mean they are the one, demons go to church too.- anonymous

I have had this defined in so many ways, read about it in books and blogs but from the way that I had an understanding when I asked God what would be a definite sign that a man that approached me wasn’t my husband. Of course I was given scripture.

II Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness.

God put it to me this way, “Miriam why would you want to marry someone who does not believe as high as you do?” I have played the dating game, been through the fornication files, and tried to change every Charlie I dated. People are not going to change because you want them to change or beg them, drag them. I believe the old saying is ‘you can take the horse to the water but you can’t make him drink’. I’ve been saved for almost 20 years, I go to a Word-based, faith-filled church and I have been a member almost 5 years this coming January. My pastor teaches and preaches but if I do not apply the word he is teaching me, it is basically going in one ear and out of the other. As he taught last night and I have been learning to do all year is let go of my will and take on God’s will. If that person isn’t heeding to God I guarantee they will not heed to your whining, crying and temper tantrums. Night and day, I have learned to ask God to teach me His way in areas that I am troubled in and strengthen areas I don’t have as much trouble in. My faith has gone from level to level almost daily now, I am in total awe of God. Everyday He teaches me something new, shows me something different and keeps me at the edge of my seat.

I can’t marry someone who is not as awed by God as I am, it would be a dapper, a block and most likely a distraction. Yes that man may very well go to church, sing in the choir, be an usher but if his relationship with Christ is just showing up but fruitless in the faith depart and can’t tell you who Peter is from Paul, Houston we have a problem. So before I look at Billy, Bob, or Joe as potential suitors, if their fruit isn’t gleaming from the tree, it is certainly forbidden fruit.

I have went through plenty of headache and heartache too know that I apparently cannot pick the mate that compliments my life. So next time think about your faith walk, not how good he or she looks, talks or walks. God will allow people to reveal the real them quicker than you can pray ‘Lord is this the one.” Don’t ignore the red flags! I have so many times but when God asked me that question, I knew for real that I could not have anyone that keeps me from pursuing my Creator. I am in love with God and I want to marry someone that loves God over me, his own life, our children, this very world, so as the leader of the home; his family can follow suit.

Remember ladies and gentlemen: Everything that glitters is not gold, don’t be fooled.

*I am in no rush to be married, I do know God is preparing me for that next step. I think this topic has been tossed around so much and this is how God revealed it to me.*

You’re A Vegetarian, What About Your Future Husband?

I am asked this question a lot from my friends and others. Sometimes I wonder why are they so concerned. (lol)

I know why they ask, they just want me to be available because I can be a pretty ‘get to the point’ person. I enjoy that love and concern my family and friends have to offer at times. Then there are times I never pay attention. What about my future husband and what if he isn’t a vegetarian like me? Guess what people, neither is my son. He is a full on omnivore and loves to eat meat. His favorite thing is turkey bacon and blueberry homemade pancakes, if he could eat every day he would. He loves chicken whether fried, broiled, baked or barbecued. He even likes catfish (which no one in this house cooks), but his other nana cooks it and he loves it. No one in this house cooks pork but he eats it when he goes with his uncle and nana and I don’t get mad about it. I am vegetarian because I like it and you know what I may not stay one forever and that is okay too. I encourage any and everyone to seek God for health concerns, losing weight, anything and everything in your life should be a conversation between you and the Creator. He knew us before our parents ever, ever thought about us. Right now you know what I do for my future husband? I don’t stress about when, where, or how? I pray for him real tough. I know if God is with me in my wilderness right now and forever more, our vision is going to have to match. I am more concerned about his soul and whether he is a man after God’s own heart than whether he wants to eat a steak for dinner every night.  About my future husband, I just pray that we are friends, we court, and then we get married, that way we can have some things smoothed out before the ‘I WILLs’.

Romans 10:3 NKJV  Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.

Colossians 2:16 NKJV So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths,

Just Miriam
